Description:
TAHA prepared a study to analyze the potential air quality and noise impacts of the two locations proposed for the Scripps Ranch Middle School. Potential noise and air quality levels were analyzed for construction and daily operation of school, and the potential noise levels of the proposed project was compared with the applicable City of San Diego noise ordinance criterion.
The proposed project includes a 1,800-student public middle school with building coverage ranging from 150,000 to 160,000 square feet and providing approximately 65 classrooms. Other facilities to be built on the project site are: house support areas, building administration, physical education, library/media center, cafeteria/performance area, exploratory areas, circulation/mechanical/restrooms/canopies, hard courts, play fields, employee parking, and joint-use facilities.
